CONQR FEATURE PREVIEW

BATTLEGROUNDS

Team competition in the places everyone already runs.

Some places are simply too busy to belong to anyone. The park loop, the waterfront path, the trail everyone in town already knows. In CONQR, those places become Battlegrounds.

The CONQR Battleground emblem

Battlegrounds are named real world locations, drawn from actual park and trail boundaries, where territory capture is switched off. No one claims ground inside one. Instead, three teams compete there every week.

Choose a team

In-app preview

In the app, your choice applies to every battleground, everywhere you run.

Your team is global. Choose red, green or blue once and you carry that color into every battleground, everywhere you run. Because of that, the choice worth making is the one that suits your local battleground and the people you run with. Changing teams later is possible, but it has a cost and is limited to once per week.

Joining the smallest team earns an underdog bonus at the end of the week, whether or not that team finishes first.

How it works

Scoring is straightforward. Points are the distance you cover inside the boundary, and every run in there adds to your team's total for the week. Each battleground runs on its own weekly cycle and is judged on its own, so your local competition has its own winner.

There are also battleground specific tactics. Some multiply what you contribute to your team. Others subtract from the team currently in the lead. They are entirely optional, and they make the closing days of a tight week worth watching.

A different experience on the ground

Battlegrounds are marked on the map with a gold outline. Cross into one and the app changes with you: gold on dark styling, your location marker in your team's color, live team standings in place of your usual territory stats, and the time remaining in the week shown above the start button.

Leaderboards and recognition

Each battleground names one top contributor on the winning team every week.

Every battleground keeps its own leaderboards, and each week recognizes the top contributor on the winning team. These boards are local by design. The names on them belong to people running the same ground you do, which makes a standing there meaningful in the place you actually run.

Battleground results also appear in your guild's achievement feed, and your team color carries through the rest of the app.

Battlegrounds will be ready when CONQR launches. Join the waitlist and be there for the first week.
